The sights
Rainbow Bridge & Odaiba Seaside Park
An artificial beach and boardwalk facing the 798-metre suspension bridge and the towers of central Tokyo beyond — the definitive bay view, especially at dusk when the bridge and Tokyo Tower light up. You can also walk across the bridge on its pedestrian path.
ℹ️ Park always open, free; no swimming. The bridge walkway is free, open in the daytime and early evening, and closed in bad weather. Allow 1 hour.
Statue of Liberty replica
A 12-metre copy of the statue, installed permanently in 2000 after a French original visited Tokyo. Framed by Rainbow Bridge, it makes Odaiba’s most photographed scene.
ℹ️ Free, always accessible, on the promenade beside Aqua City. Allow 15 minutes.
Unicorn Gundam & DiverCity
A 19.7-metre statue of the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam stands outside DiverCity Tokyo Plaza and changes between its two modes with lights and sound several times a day. Inside the mall are a Gundam store and floors of shops and restaurants.
ℹ️ Statue free; short shows run at set times through the day and evening. Mall open roughly 10:00–21:00. Allow 45 minutes.
teamLab Planets
A “body-immersive” museum: you remove your shoes and follow a route through rooms of water, mirrors, floating flowers and giant soft spheres, plus garden installations. An expansion in 2025 added further areas. The museum is currently scheduled to stay open until the end of 2027.
ℹ️ Timed tickets, sold online; prices vary by date. Next to Shin-Toyosu Station on the Yurikamome. Allow 2–3 hours.
Toyosu Market
The world’s largest wholesale fish market. Visitors follow raised walkways to viewing windows over the tuna auction hall and the intermediate wholesalers’ floor, and can eat at the market’s sushi and tempura restaurants. Next door, Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai adds Edo-style food streets and a hot-spring bathhouse.
ℹ️ Free. Visitor areas open from about 5:00 to 15:00; the auction is over by around 6:30. Closed Sundays, holidays and many Wednesdays. Shijo-mae Station. Allow 1.5 hours.
Miraikan & Small Worlds
Miraikan, the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, has hands-on exhibits about robots, space and the planet, with a huge suspended globe display. Small Worlds, near Ariake, is a museum of animated miniature cities.
ℹ️ Miraikan: usually 10:00–17:00, closed Tuesdays, with paid admission. Small Worlds has separate tickets. Both are good wet-weather options. Allow 2 hours each.
