The three experiences that most reward a guide or a ticket here are the Imperial Palace (the story of Edo Castle is invisible without one), Tsukiji Outer Market (knowing which stalls to stop at) and kabuki (seats and English captions). All listings were checked on GetYourGuide in October 2026; prices are indicative.

Booking tips
- Tsukiji is a morning place. Book market tours that start by 9:00 or 10:00; many stalls close in the early afternoon, and a good number are shut on Sundays and some Wednesdays.
- Imperial Palace East Gardens are normally closed on Mondays and Fridays, so walking tours run on the other days.
- Kabuki programmes change monthly and there are days with no performance — check the calendar before fixing your dates.
