From Shibuya, the Tokyu Toyoko Line runs straight through onto the Minatomirai Line, stopping at Yokohama, Minatomirai, Bashamichi, Nihon-odori and Motomachi-Chukagai — the most useful route, because it delivers you to the sights. From Tokyo Station and Shinagawa, the JR Tokaido, Yokosuka and Keihin-Tohoku lines serve Yokohama Station; the Keihin-Tohoku/Negishi Line continues to Sakuragicho, Kannai and Ishikawacho. Shin-Yokohama, the Shinkansen station, is a separate place 10–15 minutes away by subway or JR. Fares are approximate.

Getting around Yokohama
On foot: the best way to see Yokohama is to walk the waterfront: Sakuragicho or Minatomirai → Cup Noodles Museum → Red Brick Warehouse → Osanbashi Pier → Yamashita Park → Chinatown, about four kilometres on flat promenades.
Buses and boats: retro-styled loop buses link the main sights, the Sea Bass boat runs between Yokohama Station’s east side, Minato Mirai and Yamashita Park, and day passes for the Minatomirai Line are sold. City buses serve Sankeien.
